Theatrical play by APARÄMILLON

The basic dramaturgical starting point is the concept of the house, both as a material expression of the territorialization of relationships in space, and as a mental construction. Thus, a house is placed on the stage, an indicator of every lost home of the refugees and at the same time of every first attempt to create a shelter in their new realities. The performance draws testimonies and archival material from the refugee associations, in dialogue with the melodies of the students of Chios’ Music School, in a stage mix of theater and music, which becomes the bridge between the two places and the two eras, revealing what survives a hundred years later.
