Small apartment renovation at Mets
The small apartment is located on the 1st floor of a polykatoikia built in the 60’s in the area of Mets in Athens.
In this narrow, weird-shared apartment we were asked for the minimum changes to transform it with a low-budget renovation into a functional and pleasant-to-stay space.
Besides the merging of the living room with the entrance hall, the original structure of the apartment was maintained the same. We also preserved the beautiful old terrazzo and wooden floors, and filled out any necessary morphological elements of the structure like the gypsum bordures on the walls and ceilings.
In the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, we focused on combining old and new materials to achieve a balanced result in terms of textures and colors that met the needs of the new tenant.
